I can't believe spring is almost here, but honestly I am so ready because Maine's winters are rough and I am absolutely over it. Granted, I hate the hot weather so really I am just never happy 😂 but seriously, I am excited for the spring.  However, I don't think I'll have ten books on this list. There's a great chance I'll read ten books, but I don't want to slap books on this list just to hit the ten book mark. So these are the books I'm planning on picking up, but I'll probably have others I'll be inspired to read that I don't even know about yet.

[Top Ten Tuesday] Five Star Predictions On My TBR

A prompt is given each week, and I hope to do it every week so I always have something going up on Tuesdays. This week I am talking about books on my TBR that I predict will be five star reads! Obviously, who knows if I am right but fingers crossed that I am! I don't have too much to say about each book, mostly because I am running on gut feeling and overall praise from the reading community. However, I will make sure to share the synopsis of each book because that's a huge aspect of why I am so sure it'll be a five star read.

The Reading Rush TBR

It's read-a-thon time! The last handful of summers something called the Booktube-A-Thon took place, and now it has been rebranded and renamed to The Reading Rush. The Reading Rush was created by Ariel Bissett (the creator of the Booktube-A-Thon) and Raeleen Lemay. Every year Ariel put so much time and effort into the BookTube-A-Thon and it always showed, and now her and Raeleen really kicked it into gear with creating a website. On this website you make a profile and once the read-a-thon begins you'll be able to update your reading progress, earn badges, make new reading buddies, and if you're in the mood for some retail therapy or maybe want to buy books for the read-a-thon you can find a list of 100 discounted books from Book Depository. The Reading Rush also has a YouTube channel. This year this week long read-a-thon will take place July 22-28th.

Like every year, there is a list of seven reading challenges to make it a more fun experience. You do not need to complete these challenges to participate, but I always do because it makes it more exciting for me. Plus, it helps me figure out what books to read. So in this post I will be discussing the challenges and the books  I'll be reading to complete those challenges.

These are all ones I am almost positive I will be reading (or attempting to read) in the next few months so hopefully the reviews for each of them will be also be up as I finish them! I am vaguely dividing this post with six new (to me) books that I own and four books I plan on re-reading. Because I own (or will own) all of these books in the Spring I am almost certain I'll be picking them up!

All of them being middle grade because I want to get into more middle grade books this year! I almost always enjoy middle grade books and I love being able to recommend them to younger readers. I don't have much to say for each other than "wow this looks good" so I am going to let the summaries of each book talk for me.

BookTube-A-Thon 2018 TBR

BookTube-A-Thon is a week long read-a-thon created by Ariel Bissett, a BookTuber, that encourages the book community to get together and focus solely on reading for the week. This is a great way to either get through some smaller books you've had on your TBR for way too long or maybe get the courage to pick up one of those books that you've been too intimidated to pick up.

Feminist Lit February TBR

Feminist Lit February is described as a month-long readathon to promote feminist and diverse literature, authors, and content. This month long event was created by ItsJaneLindsey on YouTube, I recommend both checking out her video and her channel. I am signing up a bit late to the party but I am really excited to share my TBR for the rest of the month. There's a chance I may not get to all of the books, but I plan on definitely giving it a valiant effort.

Ambitious BookTube-A-Thon TBR

BookTube-A-Thon is a week long challenge filled read-a-thon that was created by BookTube's Ariel Bissett. There are seven challenges you can try to complete if you're interested, but it's mostly to motivate readers to dedicate a week solely to focus on reading, which means not splitting your time up to watch YouTube, Netflix, play video games, etc. Any free time you have, put it to reading. I love this read-a-thon and it's the one I make sure I do each year, and I've done it since Ariel created it! In this post I'll tell you the books I plan on reading, which challenges they will be fulfilling, and some links and information if you're interested in learning more!

All of these books are actually being published in the second half of the year, so they haven't come out yet.

I am hoping to do these posts (or other weekly Wednesday posts) more often as long as I am interested in the current prompt! This week's prompt I am talking about the five books on my TBR that are either science fiction or fantasy.

[Top Ten Tuesday] Books On My Spring TBR

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish. A prompt is given each week, and I hope to do it every week so I always have something going up on Tuesdays now that the hiatus is over and there are so many great prompts coming in the future. The prompt this week, are books that I have on my TBR for the next few months during spring. It's actually really nice to think about the spring today, especially with the blizzard happening right outside my door this minute. I am just going to have a quick list (no particular order), and not go into any detail about the book because I like to stay pretty in the dark when it comes to what a book is about. However, if you're interested in a book from the title alone, I will make sure each book is linked to its Goodreads page. 

My Read-O-Rama TBR

Read-O-Rama is a read-a-thon taking place this week! It starts today, March 12th and ends on the 18th. I haven't been able to find a specific creator of the read-a-thon but it does have a Twitter where the five hosts will be running reading sprints and there is also a giveaway happening.

I only found out about the read-a-thon yesterday, so I am late to the game, but I really wanted to participate. So this is a last minute TBR plan and a few of the books I am waiting on the library to have for me, so the books I read for those challenges may change depending on if the books arrive in time. Either way I am going to try to finish all seven challenges but the main goal is to just get a little extra reading done that I wouldn't have normally. So here are the challenges and my plans for each of them.
