2018 End of Year Book Survey

We have said goodbye to 2018 and 2019 is just beginning, which means it's time to look back and reflect on the year in terms of the books we've read! Book counts are starting to be tallied up, favorites, least favorites, how many you may have DNFed, etc. This survey in particular was created by The Perpetual Page Turner and I highly recommend checking out her blog! Although I have only participated in one or two of these, this is the ninth one she's created!

Let's jump into my answers! I will add covers wherever it permits but if you're interested in my in depth thoughts I will link my reviews along with the Amazon and Goodreads lists. All of these books may not have published in 2018 but I read them in 2018! I also skipped some questions that I didn't have answer for (so check out the link above for the full list if you plan on doing it!) and if a book was my answer for more than one I'm going to bunch them together.

[Top Ten Tuesday] Favorite Reads of 2018

It's officially 2019! A year that is going to be a big one for me, but for now I am excited to reflect on my favorite books of 2018! Some of these books may not have been released in 2018 but  I read them all in 2018 and they resonated with me in a way that they landed themselves on this list. There are a few books I am behind on reading that I have a feeling that may have been on this list, so they'll have to be on next years if I end up loving them enough. But for now, let's jump into the ones I did read and love! I am going to try to rank them this year, so it'll be least favorite favorite to my most favorite favorite. But know that I loved all of these. But for now, let's jump into the ones I did read and love!

My Worst Reads of 2018!

It's officially 2019! A year that is going to be a big one for me, but for now I am excited to reflect on my worst books of 2018! So, some of these may not have been published in 2018 but I did read them in 2018. I don't think this is needed, because we all understand that everyone has their own opinions and it's okay if I ended up disliking a favorite of yours. However, I will be immediately deleting any mean comments. I'm up for discussion but let's keep it civil But for now, let's jump into the book I disliked! I am going to try to rank them this year, so it'll be the ones I kind of dislike to my most disliked book. I need to warn you that I may not have a lot to say about some of them because I may have forgotten some of the details if it's been a while. Also, the ratings don't always match with my overall feel over a book, so I may have disliked a book more that has 2 1/2 stars than a book that has 2. It's all how I felt when reading the book mostly.

January Wrap-Up

This is where I talk about how the month went for me when it came to reading and some events that maybe sparked me to read more (or stopped me from reading as much as I wanted to). I also link all the reviews I did in the month, discuss my plans for the following month, non-book things I've enjoyed, and give updates of my life. This year I have decided that I am not making a big deal on how many books I read or letting myself feel any guilt for the amount I didn't read.

Exciting 2018 Releases

It's 2018 and I am SO excited for this list of books! I am hoping to get to them this year, but because  I rely heavily on my library we will see. I definitely planning on reading all of these books in the future, because they all have something that makes me really excited to read. I will also include their release dates, but these release dates could always change I am just going off the dates I found online. When a book gives me that urge to pick it up ASAP, I know I have to read it. And all of these books do that for me. We as readers are definitely lucky to have all these books coming out in the next year.
