BookTube-A-Thon Wrap-Up

BookTube-A-Thon is officially over!! Phew! Every single time the booktube-a-thon week has ended I am both relieved and bummed that I will have to wait another year for the next one! Here I will talk about my daily accomplishments and how I did with the seven challenges. I'd love to know how you did in the comments below!

Before we get started, I'll link my Ambitious BookTube-A-Thon TBR!

Daily Accomplishments:

Day One: July 24th
Pages Read: 341
Books Read: I started and finished Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling.
Notes: Good start! I am happy I started with a Harry Potter book, it puts me in a good mood and definitely makes me want to read more!

Day Two: July 25th
Pages Read: 85
Books Read: I started Veronica Mars: A Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham.
Notes: Slow-ish day today when it came to reading. It's taking me a hot minute to get into this book, but once the mystery starts I doubt I'll have any issues flying through. I'll focus more tomorrow to make up for the lack of reading today.

Day Three: July 26th
Pages Read: 431
Books Read: I finished Veronica Mars: A Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham.I also started and finished The Umbrella Academy by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá.
Notes: Definitely feeling back on track!

Day Four: July 27th
Pages Read: 112
Books Read: Started Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz.
Notes: Although listening to this book on audiobook is fun, it's definitely slowing me down. Tomorrow I'll pick up where I left off but with my physical copy.

Day Five: July 28th
Pages Read: 365
Books Read: Finished Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz. I also started Seven Ways We Lie by Riley Redgate.
Notes: Hoping I like Seven Ways We Lie, or at least it's a quick read, I am a little uneasy going into a book I don't know anything about.

Day Six: July 29th
Pages Read: 225
Books Read: Finished Seven Ways We Lie by Riley Redgate.
Notes: Feeling a bit nervous, I have to read two books tomorrow. I may have to switch out Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy with a  comic book volume or graphic novel.

Day Seven: July 30th
Pages Read: 484
Books Read: Started and Finished Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Started and finished Spider-Man: Family Business.
Notes: I DID IT! I completed all seven challenges, I am feeling pretty good and also exhausted. I did end up switching out Hitchhiker's with one of my fiancé's comic book volumes. There was no way I was reading two full novels today. I'll pick up Hitchhiker's sometime in the next week or two.

Books in total: Seven
Pages in total: 2,043

Challenges (I will link all of my reviews with each book):

  1. Read a book with a person on the cover: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
  2. Read a hyped book: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
  3. Finish a book in one day: Veronica Mars: Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham
  4. Read about a character that is completely different from you: Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
  5. Read a book completely outdoors: The Umbrella Academy by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá.
  6. Read a book you bought because of the cover: Seven Ways We Lie by Riley Redgate.
  7. Read seven books: Spider-Man: Family Business.

Overall Thoughts:

I am feeling pretty accomplished with my Booktube-A-Thon week! I am a little bummed I had to switch out a novel with a graphic novel, but I will get to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy soon. I feel like I got some good reading done, and it was fun to join in on the reading sprints run by the BookTube-A-Thon twitter. My eyes are a bit heavy just typing this, so I am excited to sleep knowing I don't have to read the next day if I don't want to, even if there's a great big chance I will like most days. I did feel the pressure a bit at the end, but overall I am happy

Thanks for reading!

Did you participate? How did you do? I hope you had fun!
