[Book Tag] Mid Year Freak Out 2017

It's officially the second half of 2017! In this tag I'll be answering some questions on the books I've read in the past six months and the books I plan on reading in the future. I am not sure who started this tag, so if you know please tell me below so I can credit them!

1. What is your favorite book you’ve read so far?
I actually recently did a post saying the ten best books I’ve read so far this year, so click this to read that! But if I had to pick, I’d probably pick The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas or The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. I refuse to pick.

2. What is your favorite sequel you’ve read in 2017?
I haven’t really had a chance to read a lot of sequels this year. So I’d have to say City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

3. What book has come out that you haven’t had a chance to read yet?
Tash Hearts Tolstoy by Kathryn Ormsbee. I am waiting for it to be available at my local library. I have a person or two ahead of me. I also really need to read Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab. I want to read the first one again (This Savage Song) first, so I am hoping to do that and then move onto the sequel.

4. Most anticipated release for the end of the year?
I have two posts Creepy Mystery & Thrillers and Second Half of 2017 TBR, both talking about books that I have my eyes on. Currently the one I am most excited for is See What I Have Done by Sarah Schmidt.

5. Biggest disappointment?

Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen. I ended up DNFing it because of how bored I was with the story which is a real bummer because I was really excited to read it.

6. Biggest surprise?
The Beast of London by L.D. Goffigan. I loved the first book in this series. The second one, Fortress of Blood, not so much.

7. Your favorite new author?
Angie Thomas, Sandhya Menon, Amanda Lovelace, Audrey Coulthurst.

8. Your newest fictional crush?

I don’t really have many fictional crushes. But I thought Rishi from When Dimple Met Rishi was cute.

9. New favorite character from 2017?
Dimple from When Dimple Met Rishi

10. Book that made you cry?
A List of Cages by Robin Roe

11. Book that made you happy?
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

12. Favorite book adaptation?

A Series of Unfortunate Events Netflix Original TV Show

13. Favorite review you’ve written this year?
I love all the reviews I’ve done this year. I think because of how much the book met to me, my review for The Upside of Unrequited is one I am proud of.

14. The most beautiful book you’ve purchased/read this year?
I don’t purchase many books as of late, so I added “read” in the question. My answer for this question would have to be Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst because of the beautiful cover. Or, The Legend of Wonder Woman Volume One: Origins because the artwork is beautiful.

15. What do you need to read by the end of the year?

There are so many books I need to read by the end of the year. But the ones I really need to pick up are, Miles Moralas by Jason Reynolds, See What I Have Done by Sarah Schmidt, Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab, Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman to finish off the trilogy, and Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero.

Thanks for reading!
