Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish. A prompt is given each week, and I hope to do it every week so I always have something going up on Tuesdays. This week I am talking about the top ten books I have on my radar for the last half of 2017. All of these books are actually being published in the second half of the year, so they haven't come out yet.
Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab
This is the second and final book in the Monsters of Verity series by Victoria Schwab. I loved the first book in this series so I am so excited for the second one.
Because You Love to Hate Me by Ameriie
This is a book of thirteen short stories about famous villains as our main characters. One really unique thing about the book is that before each story a different BookTuber each time will have written an introduction to the story, which I love. I follow a good percentage of the BookTubers so I am excited. Plus, it's always fun to read about bad guys sometimes.
Miles Morales (A Spider-Man Novel) by Jason Reynolds
I am really excited for this Spider-Man novel. My boyfriend is a huge Spider-Man fan, and because of that I have also gained a huge love for the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. I have read Reynold's book All American Boys and really enjoyed it, so I am excited to see what he will do with Miles Morales.
Little & Lion by Brandy Colbert
I am actually going into this one blind. I read the synopsis, but never researched any further because for the most part I like going into books pretty unaware of what I am about to read. From what I remember about reading the synopsis is that it includes loss, mental illness, and identity.
They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera
Adam Silvera has become a bit of a always pick up and read kind of author for me recently. I read both his other books More Happy Than Not and History Is All You Left Me this year and loved them both.
Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
I am really excited for a book all about Chaol Westfall, especially after the last two books where his character changed drastically in Queen of Shadows and he was completely left out in Empire of Storms. I feel like this book is going to make or break the series for me since I had a lot of issues with the last book.
There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins
I am really excited for a horror book from Stephanie Perkins. We know she can do cutesy romance so the fact that we are getting another side of her is really fun. Plus, I don't have many thriller or horror novels on my radar as of yet (suggestions always welcome) so I am excited to pick this one up..
Illustrated Edition of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling
These editions are absolutely gorgeous and I honestly live for them. I love being able to anticipate a Harry Potter book every year again even if they're the same book with Jim Kay's illustrations. Honestly, these books are little works of art, and I love them.
The Book of Dust by Philip Pullman
I really need to finish the last book in His Dark Materials now that Pullman has announced that he is writing more books in the world with Lyra! I really loved the Golden Compass but felt a bit disappointed in The Amber Spyglass. That doesn't change the fact that I am most definitely reading the last book in the series and continuing on.
Renegades by Marissa Meyer
I am so excited to read this! I have had my eyes on it since she was talking about writing a superhero book during NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) a while back. I am so excited to read this book, I loved her Lunar Chronicles series.
There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins sounds SO GOOD!

Yessss!!! I am so excited to read it but I'm also excited because that means she will have more success! :D
DeleteThere's Someone Inside Your House and Renegades both made my list this week, too! I haven't read any Adam Silvera before, but I've heard his books are really wonderful and heartbreaking, so I really need to pick one up. Great list!
