[Book Blogger Hop] April 7-13th

Book Blogger Hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to discover and follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend bloggers, and gain followers. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday where there will be a weekly prompt following a bookish question.

Question:
If you could meet one author, dead or alive, who would it be?

My response:

A couple weeks ago I actually posted a blog titled Ten Authors I'm Dying to Meet. In that post I mention that the thought of meeting any author scares me because I am very much intimidated by the people I look up to when it comes to celebrities. I am not sure where it comes from but it's definitely there. However, the very top author for me is J.K. Rowling. For all the obvious reasons when it comes to Harry Potter and what his story means to me. I know the things I want to say to her are things she's heard millions of times before from other Harry Potter fans but it would still mean so much to me. I really respect her as a writer and especially as a person. She's very inspirational.

Thanks for reading!

What are some of the authors you'd love to meet?

    1. Thank you! And I agree. It makes it more meaningful I think. But it also makes it more intimidating.

  3. I would love to meet her as well--although I'm sure I would fall to the ground and kiss her feet, for sure. I wouldn't know what to say, I'd be so tongue-tied. She's definitely up there on my list of most admired people. Thank you for sharing! I hope you have a wonderful week!

    1. Right?! She's such an inspiration from writing one of the best stories to donating so much money to charities to speaking her mind on important social issues. She's great.

And thank you! I know the weekend is basically over but I hope you had a good one!

  4. JKR would be wonderful! The original seven books mean a great deal to my family. I would love to tell her about some of the special memories we were able to make around the fandom. :)

    1. Exactly! I assume she's heard it all, I can't imagine how many "thank you"s she's gotten from fans of the HP stories. I think that's kind of a beautiful thing. That we are able to all share this story and understand how much it means to us all.
