October & November 2019 Wrap-Up

October and November have ended so now it's time to reflect on both of the months! In this post I will list my book reviews, other blog posts, movies, tv shows, life updates, music, and plans for the next month. I will of course link any reviews and anything non-bookish (which means I don't have a review) I will write a few sentences of my general thoughts! October was such a busy month for me! Between getting married, catching some sort of awful stomach bug, my birthday, and our stay-cation after our wedding it was a month of constant things happening. And then in November my mental health took a bad turn, and I was unmotivated to do anything, which put blogging and reading on the back burner. However, with everything that went on these two months, I am hoping my reading spark is back and December will be a bit better for me!

Let's jump into my wrap-up!

[Top Ten Tuesday] Autumn 2019 TBR

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish but is currently being run by That Artsy Reader Girl. A prompt is given each week, and I hope to do it every week so I always have something going up on Tuesdays. This week I am talking about books I'm really excited to read this autumn! October is a big month for me, considering I am getting married (!!!)  on the 12th. So this TBR may be a bit too ambitious, but my soon-to-be husband (ahhh) is taking two weeks off work after the wedding for our stay-cation. So we may have a lot of reading time! But we may also make plans, so we will see! Also, I am going into most of these pretty blind and based off the summaries on Goodreads. Which means I don't have too much to say about them, so I'll put the summaries after each cover!

Let's jump into this ambitious TBR!

October Wrap-Up

This is my monthly post where I talk about how the month went for me when it came to reading and some events that maybe sparked me to read more (or stopped me from reading as much as I wanted to). I also link all the reviews I did in the month, update any reading challenges I've signed up for, discuss my plans for the following month, non-book things I've enjoyed, and give updates of my life. This year I have decided that I am not making a big deal on how many books I read or letting myself feel any guilt for the amount I didn't read. I am just going to read what sounds good in the moment without any guilt or pressure. I hope everyone has had a fantastic reading month and that next month goes even better!  Let's jump into how September went for me!

The Spooky Would You Rather Book Tag

About a week ago I saw that Erica Robyn Reads did this awesome spooky book tag and I wanted to fill out the questions too! I recommend both the tag and her post, which I will link right here. This tag was originally created by BookTuber The Book Pusher, so I recommend checking out the original as well!

Here we go!

The Fall Book Tag

I know Fall has been around for almost a month now, but here in Maine it's been having these weird cold moments and then really humid moments. Now that seems to be done and it finally is starting to feel like permanent Fall time I thought I'd do this tag! I wasn't tagged by anyone and I'm not really a big fan of tagging specific people. However, if you're interested, do it! And tell me so I can read your answers! I am going to [mostly] pick books I've read this year, so if you want to know specifics on what I thought of each book I will link each of my reviews!

[Top 5 Wednesday] Creepy Settings

It's time for this week's Top Five Wednesday! This has been created by gingerreadslainey and it also has a Goodreads group. I am hoping to do these posts (or other weekly Wednesday posts) more often as long as I am interested in the current prompt! This week's prompt I am talking about five of the creepiest book settings I have read.

[Book Review] Ultimate Sacrifice by S.E. Green

Back in June I did a Cover Reveal for anyone interested!

Vickie has always lived a quiet, ordinary life in an equally quiet and ordinary small town. Yet one fateful night a child turns up dead in the woods behind her house in a ritualistic slaughter. Vickie and her family are suddenly thrown into a national spotlight. But as the investigation unfolds, she begins to realize her family isn’t so ordinary after all. Evil is inching closer to those she holds dear and Vickie isn't sure who she can ultimately trust.
