Erica @ Erica Robyn Reads and I buddy read the book Sadie, which was written by Courtney Summers. Like we have in the past, when we are done reading a book together and then writing up our own individual reviews (which are linked below) we got together and went over discussion topics.

H & E Bookish Chat: The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

Erica Robyn Reads and I recently buddy-read The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. After messaging one another to say we had each completed the book, this happened:

H: Hmm not sure how I feel about the ending or the last quarter of the book at all.

E: It got weird right?

H: Yeah!

E: The more I'm thinking about it, the more issues I'm having with it.

H: Yeah, same. It seemed messy at the end. Like you'd think such an intricate plot would have a good ending.

Even so, we are so excited to FINALLY have the second installment of H & E Bookish Chats!

H & E Bookish Chat: Eliza And Her Monsters

Erica Robyn Reads and I recently buddy-read Eliza And Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia. After messaging one another to say that we had each completed the book, this happened:

H: I’m not even sure how to review this book. I immediately revert into caveman Heather, "IT GOOD. READ. NOW.”

E: Ah, right??!?! That’s how I started my review!!! I was like: I don't even know where to start... I just kept typing “I LOVE THIS BOOK!”

Needless to say, we agreed that this would be the perfect book to roll out an idea we have had for a while now; H & E Bookish Chats!
