[Book Blogger Hop] March 30-April 5th: Book Clubs

Book Blogger Hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to discover and follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend bloggers, and gain followers. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday where there will be a weekly prompt following a bookish question.

Question:

How many book clubs do you belong to? If you do belong to an in-person book club, do you have meetings in the day or evening? Do you meet at someone's house or meet at a local restaurant or coffee house? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

Answer:

Unfortunately I am not really into any official book clubs whether that be online or in person. I am not sure why but it makes me uncomfortable to think about signing up for in person book clubs or even online ones. I think I prefer to buddy read with a friend. I am not the biggest fan of groups or crowds so the smaller the group the better. I love the idea of big group book clubs, but my anxiety would make it more of a stressful time than a fun one.

Thanks for reading!

  2. I'm not in a book club at the moment either. My one attempt at being in one was with my boyfriend before I started blogging. I prefer smaller groups to larger one as well, so I totally understand your anxiety about that.

I worry about not having anything profound to say about the book. Plus, who needs a book club when you have an awesome blog and a great book blogging community, right?! :-)

    1. Yeah! I am constantly trying to get my fiancé to have a mini book club with me but our book tastes are so different that we could never settle on a book to read.

Yeah! I am the same way. I tend to put my opinions and feelings of a book together properly in writing versus out loud, so I would feel kind of like I am on the spot. It's just too much anxiety!! It's way better discussing books online for me then in real life. Which is why the book blogging community is just perfect :D <3

      Thanks for stopping by Katisha!
