I actually recently posted a blog on of my Favorite Books of 2017. However, if I had to pick five from the fifteen I talked about in the post I'd pick:
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli
The Princess Saves Herself in this One by Amanda Lovelace
Bonus: Faith Volume 1: Hollywood and Vine by Valiant Comics
It's hard to choose, which is why I had to add a bonus, but I had a really great reading year despite my multiple reading slumps.
The only one I know but haven't read is THE HATE U GIVE.
