July Wrap-Up

This is where I talk about how the month went for me when it came to reading and some events that maybe sparked me to read more (or stopped me from reading as much as I wanted to). I also link all the reviews I did in the month, talk about any books I DNFed, and I discuss my plans for the following month!

This month was a crazy one! I was a bit slump-y for the beginning of the month, but I got out of that fairly quickly. I had a lot of exciting and important things happen which I am excited to share and overall I am really happy with how I did reading wise. Especially since I have had an insane month when it comes to my teeth. I have awful teeth, no matter what I do to keep them healthy. Dang bad teeth genetics. First, I got a filling in a tooth late June, and then early July I had to go back because the tooth was in so much pain, so the dentist gave me antibiotics thinking it was an infection, that didn't help, finally yesterday (August 1) I got a root canal. Phew. I am still sore but optimistic once the soreness fades I'll be good to go! It's been insane.

This month was the annual BookTube-A-Thon, so I will link my BookTube-A-Thon Wrap Up for anyone interested in reading how I did! Something else that was really cool is that I won a giveaway. Elizabeth of The Owlery from YouTube hosted a giveaway and I won a signed copy of Soul Journey by Miranda Shanklin and a bunch of swag. I plan on reading this book soon! Maybe even this month!

Also, a few months ago (May 25th) I got engaged to my now fiancé. Earlier this month we had our engagement photos done, so I wanted to link my engagement photos post for anyone interested. I paired some of my favorites of the bunch with some of my favorite book quotes. It is one of my favorite blog posts I've done because it was so much fun to pair each photo and quote. I was a sobbing mess while doing it, especially when I found a quote that fit a photo perfectly. I will also link the photographer's Facebook page! Some of you may know her as Erica Robyn Reads, but she also has an amazing photography business! I highly recommend checking out her Facebook page.

DNF
Amazingly enough I did not DNF any books this month! Which always feels amazing because every book I picked up I liked at least enough to finish it! It is always so nice when I look back and I see that I read every book I picked up that month.

August Reading Plans
I have a few books in my possession, or coming to me from my library that I need to read before their due dates. Some of those books include Landline by Rainbow Rowell, Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero, and Final Girls by Riley Sager. Other than that, I want to keep going with my Harry Potter re-read. After that, I am just going to do what I typically normally do, which is picking up books that interest me in that moment.

Thanks for reading!

How did you do this month reading wise? What was the favorite book you read? Or maybe what was your favorite thing you did in the past month?
