Book Blogger Hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to discover and follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend bloggers, and gain followers. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday where there will be a weekly prompt following a bookish question.
Question:
If you are at a really good point in the book and the phone or doorbell rings, do you stop reading or let the phone or door go unanswered?
Answer:
It depends who is calling or who is at the door, but I honestly for like 98% of the time will stop reading. I don't get many phone calls or visitors so if someone is calling/visiting, it's probably important. At least with phones you can click off the sound so you can ignore the call, I think it's almost impossible to ignore someone knocking at the door. I'm someone who will open the door, and let a person selling something (or talking about x religion) do their whole spiel and listen politely.
If I do open the door to a salesperson, I will usually sit and listen to their entire spiel too. I'm too nice to say no right away.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great weekend, Heather!
Yes!! I just feel too bad telling them to leave!
DeleteThank you!! Have a great weekend! <3
I'm starting to get a bit snippy with the people that ring our bell. Most of the time I just ignore them to avoid the situation, especially when we get more than one a day. It's so insane.
ReplyDeleteYeah!! I think you get WAY more than I do. At least you used to! Especially your first year living in your apartment!
DeleteWe get more phone calls than door bell rings.
ReplyDeleteIf it is a door bell ringing, it must be someone I know. :)
Nice answer.
Happy Hopping!!

Yeah! I tend to not get too many of either!
DeleteThank you! <3
I don't often get callers of either kind either.
ReplyDeleteYeah! I live in a little apartment complex, so if anyone's knocking at my door I'm probably expecting it. And if someone is calling it's either someone I can ignore, or once again someone I am expecting to call!
DeleteThanks for stopping by! <3
Yes I do the same thing I just can't take the ringer off my phone, because any family members can call me for an emergency. I live just next door too my uncle and he is a very ill men, so one day a couple of years ago when there was a snow storm late in the evening he fell really sick. My mom called me too check on him and when I did check on him. I had too call the ambulance because he was in really bad shape. And good thing too because my uncle was having a heart attack. So I wish I can lower the ringer or turn the phone off but I can't because there could be any family emergency. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog hop and have a great weekend Heather.
